When COVID hit in 2020 and markets were forced to close in Mexico, many artisan communities in Chiapas shifted their production to create these beautiful embroidered face coverings. For every mask purchased we have been giving one to Native communities in the USA or to migrant shelters in CA and across the border.
With your help we have sent hundreds of masks to the Navajo Nation, to the Oneida Nation, to the Pine Ridge Reservation, to Native Canadian activists, to Kumeyaay activists..., to Border Angels and Tijuana Sin Hambre who distribute them in shelters in Tijuana.
Masks were also donated to Orenda Tribe and their auction "SPREAD LOVE +SHINE LIGHT" to raise funds for covid relief on the Navajo Nation.
We donated masks to Minority Humanitarian Foundation a non profit that provide help migrants once arriving in the USA.
To We all San Diego, a grass-root group providing COVID 19 mutual aid relief.
And we have sold and donated proceeds of hundreds of masks to support the makers of these masks by organizing 3 food drives destined to 12 families in Chiapas.
We raised funds for the gofundme supporting Dine families in the Dennehotso area AZ, funded by Brian Yazzie and Taralyn Adakai-Fotu.
And for Alicia Martin's family who have provided COVID relief and emergency assistance to so many families on the Western side of the Navajo Nation.
So thank for all your support. For details on how to further donate see links below.
