The Telma is a mid century inspired slipper chair. The front is upholstered in woven huipiles from Guatemala, the traditional garment worn by Maya women. ( Coban, Quetzaltenango). The back is upholstered in a hand woven, cross stitched Nahua ( skirt worn by Maya women in Chiapas) from Zinacantan, Chiapas, Mexico.
The frame is custom made locally in birch.
